Unbeknownst to Meghan, Mab has locked away Meghan's glamour, or magic. In exchange for Ash's help, Meghan promises to return with him to the Winter Court.Īs The Iron Daughter begins, Meghan is being held by Mab, the Winter Queen. Along the way she meets and falls in love with Ash, a Winter Prince. Meghan has to kill Machina, the Iron King, in order to rescue her younger brother, Ethan. In the first novel, The Iron King, Meghan Chase of Louisiana learns that she is half faery, the daughter of Oberon, the Summer King. Perhaps they'll move to Leaninsidhe's between realm and find some way back. The Iron Daughter is the second novel in the Iron Fey series. The book ends with both Meghan and Ash in exile so I'm really curious as to how they're going to get back into Faery because it's obvious that Meghan is supposed to take over the Iron Fey.even if she doesn't know it yet. But that's cause I've always had a thing for guys that can make me laugh. It really isn't fun being the third wheel in a love triangle. He confesses his love to Meghan but, even though she loves him too, she loves Ash more and has to leave Puck behind. I felt really bad for Puck though in this one. Of course, Meghan follows him into exile and chooses him over her family as well! LOVE WINS! HA! But, of course, at the very end Ash finally makes up his mind and is exiled for choosing Meghan over his family. I felt like the two would never have any peace because Ash was trying to push her away which made Meghan think he didn't love her in the first place. The forbidden love between Meghan and Ash was almost too much. I'm glad it was Ash that took her out in the end.so fitting! Virus because she put a bug in Ash and tried to kill him very slowly in the most agonizing way possible while simultaneously making him attack Meghan and her family. Rowan because he betrayed his own flesh and blood to become an iron fey and even killed his own flesh and blood to do it. Rowan and Virus, the two evil characters in the book, made my skin crawl. I wonder if the writer imagined her voice in the same way cause it sure as heck cracks me up. When she speaks I can actually hear her voice in my head and I just start laughing. I don't like the fact that she has Meghan's father under her spell but otherwise I love her character. Now she suddenly has control over iron things and while she had it in her hand, she was able to make the scepter work right away. I started out not being so sure but a few chapters into this one I can see things are getting more and more complicated.and I LOVE complicated! It's very obvious at the end that Meghan is going to end up ruling the Iron Fey because when she killed Machina, his power went into her. I'm really loving how this series is going.
